My car is the auris t spirit which has the 17" wheels with 215/45 tyres could I fit the 15" wheels with 195/65 tyres which some auris models have as standard, so as to me give a softer ride?

The service manager at my local toyota dealership says there is a reason why the t spirit has the 17" wheels but he can't remember why!!!

Could it one has a different size of brake disc or different hub spacings so the only wheel that will fit is the larger one.You could always try fit the smaller one are they specified in the car manual.

Do all HSD's come with 17" wheels, if lower spec hybrids come with 15" then i see no reason why you shouldn't offer 'em up.

Is that the best the service geezer can do, 'can't remember'?...i'd be finding another service centre PDQ.
