Audi A4 2LT Tdi 2007 - engine needed - chebsy

newbie here -

Hi, I am just in the process of getting my money back from the most useless used engine supplier with the worst customer service in the world- have has my money since 23 rd May and still no engine!! Won't write name yet until money is tucked up safely back with my bank.

Where is good for a used/recon engine - no more cowboys please.? Anybody recommend Dragon Motors Chesterfield or Prestige motors and who should istay away from. Please help - I need my car.

Have you tried someone in your area who is member of the FER ( Federation of Engine Re Manufacturers) http://www.fer.co.uk/ From the website you can search foir the nearest workshop.

These guys are never the cheapest but i have used Ivor Searle, who are one of their members and been impressed with their work

Thanks Cris - I did look up federation of re- manufactured engines - but think they will only take your engine and remanufacture it - garage guy says not possible with my wrecked engine. Not sure whether to go for used or recon- am very wary now after being taken in by company I used - tissue of lies - I want to find a reputable company recommended on here or audi forum - so it you have any other ideas??
