Buyacar.co.uk - Any good? - Problem_Polo :-/

Morning all,

Does anybody have have any experiences, good or bad, with this website, www.buyacar.co.uk? Stumbled over it a few days ago and on the surface of things it looks fairly promising, some reasonable deals on certain cars and what looks to be their own finance facility. Obviously no 'extras' as you might get from a dealer, but some reasonable list price savings by the look of things. Anybody used them?

Not heard of them and their website isn't too clear who you deal with. It appears you buy the car from them, not the dealer.

We used drivethedeal. All they do is take your deposit, contact the supplying dealer and all your dealings are then with the main dealer, not drivethedeal. So once you have paid a deposit to dtd it is just like walking into a showroom and buying. Main downside is the dealer may not be local.

I haven't personally if i'm honest. But it does look like they are a little vague about some of the deals on offer. Have you tried Omega Vehicle Solutions? I have recently leased a VW Golf off them and it all ran smoothly. Worth a call along with some others as the more you reasearch, the better the deals your likely to recieve!

I was going to use them a couple of months ago but pulled out after reading small print.

You pay deposit to them and also full balance before delivery.

You are not put in touch with suppling dealer or informed who the dealer is, and it is possible you won't be first Reg keeper or get the V5 on delivery which means there could be implications re insureance and driving the vehicle.

See why I got cold feet.
