The external air temperature reading on the in-car LED display has become very erratic giving temperatures up to 20 degress higher than the actual outside temperature. Does anyone know where the sender is located so that I can check it ?
Additionally, the left-handside backlight illumination of the Climate Control LED display panel has gone very dull. Is this just a case of replacing a bulb or is the display faulty ?
Any help or comments would be much appreciated.

On my xantia the sensor is a small blob underneath the drivers door mirror. I would suspect the peugeot is the same, but I may of course be wrong.

Thanks Mr Fish, I had concluded from the readings on my Xant that it was close to or under a painted surface, car is storm grey. Reasonably accurate moving and (eg now) parked overnight, but grossly overreads in direct sunlight, like 20 celsius in february!!. Tends to rise by a degree or so as the car warms up as well.

Exterior air temp sensor is to be found sticking out of the bottom edge of nearside door mirror.
Changed mine in June £8.47 + VAT for exactly the same reasons.
The glasss has to come out by means of a thin wire circlip around the back - can take some finding!!!!!!Then the mirror comes apart to get to the sensor.
New sensor comes with bags of wire but taking the mirror off to try and access the loom and into the door is futile.
Try and cut into wire in the mirror and make a waterproof connection with solder and that shrink sleeving.
Ideal opportunity to evict that spider!!!!!!

Forgot to mention you will need a bent piece of wire as a tool to access the circlip. Dont pull and try and force the mirror as it will either just break the glass ( heated ) or brak the motor - New mirror!!!!!
The Climate Control display unit should just ease out of the dash and the bulbs are of the small push in and twist 2 watt in a black holder variety. Just check for screws behind blank covers or control knobs just in case!

Hi,
I have a 406 GLX (97 model), but the outside temp reads in F. Does anyone know how to change this to C ? Dealers have never been able to give me an answer.
Climate control reads tempertures as C!
