Vw passat 2006 Sport TDI Estate (140) - - Heated Front Heated Windscreen?? - vwpass88

Can anyone advise if the windscreen is electric heated as I am getting my windscreen replaced due to a stone chip the size of a 20p on the driver side?

Thanks for the heads up....i know there is a button for the front windscreen and the rear screen and wondered if that was the same thing in terms of electric heated?

Front screen button will activate demist i.e. max fan to windscreen and max heat if climate fitted.

Totally untrue. Lots of cars other than fords have heated front screens.

In 2006 it was ford and parent companies only. Other marques now offer it.

Be reminded that in the recent past,Ford owned(or had controlling interest)in Jaguar,Land Rover,Volvo,Mazda,Aston Martin,AC and supplied components to many other companies.As said above,other companies now offer it after the Ford patent expired.

I put a heated windscreen in my Mini 30 years ago. Then I crashed it and broke the screen...

You can see if the screen is heated... You can see the wires! I still drive a car with a heated screen - an '06 Fiesta.
