I am probably one of the few Back Roomers who has been in one. I go to India quite regularly and one of my team members was keen to show off his newly-acquired Tata. First thing to remember is that Indian roads are really terrible - especially in towns - so ride cannot be judged but the car seemed OK.

It's a lot like a Punto and seemed quite well put together. If Tata can get European fit and finish then this will be a good stop gap for Rover I think.

Any idea what engines Rover will be using? The Indian one seemed quite rough.

Tata's have just launched a three box version. Not much of a looker but along with this, they have revamped the interior and made a lot of improvements. There is a high likelihood that the K series will be used in the Indica.

The acclaimed K Series engine WILL NOT (for the moment) be used in the Indicar.

When the server is fixed (Doh!!Why is no-one there on New Years Day to kick the thing??) I'll post a link to a thread which might interest you guys.
