This morning I opened my 2008 Micra (remote central locking, no alternative/manual override for boot) as normal and drove for 25 minutes. Got out and the boot wouldn't open. Totally stuck shut. Door central locking is fine. I managed to get my stuff out of the boot by forcing up the shelf from the inside. My friend looked at it and the lock doesn't appear to even be attempting to open. We studied the owner's manual but none of the fuses could obviously be matched to the boot. Has anyone any advice? Is it an electrics fault or is the boot catch jammed? I don't use the boot that often so it's not a critical issue but I am slightly concerned it is going to suddenly release itself when I'm driving along the motorway! Any help gratefully received!
