VW Golf MK5 GT TDI (2007) - Engine takes a couple of times to start when cold - GVW

Hi,

I have had my new VW Golf MK5 GT TDI (2007) for a couple of weeks. The engine starts reliably, but when cold takes a couple of goes some times. It strikes me that this should not be the case with a car that has only 45k on the clock and is of this age.

What might cause this?

Hi did you ever sort this issue out with the slow starting? I've just bought a similar 2005 MK5 GT TDI and it's doing the same thing.
