Renault Clio - MOT Failure (repairs) and service costs - lukestkd

Hi all :)

Just looking for some honest advice on costs. My 2003 Clio DCi 1.5 has failed MOT on a Track Rod End and the Anti Roll Bar Link Rod AND emissions.

Garage recommended service (planning to get done next month anyway) to hopefully clear emissions. Total cost for service + MOT + repairs is £350 inc VAT. Does this seem appropriate?

I was hoping around £250 if I had to have the service done also, but just wanted to check before I give the green light.

If that is for a test, repair, service and retest you will should have a cheap years motoring.

Is this a major or minor service? Seems to me some services are little more than an oil and filter change with a quick look round the car. anyway if you get a years motoring for that price then it isn't bad at all.
