Ford C-MAX - Persistent engine warning light - hollybush

The engine warning light on my 2005 Ford Focus C-Max 1.6 Zetec came on and the acceleration was reduced. My local Ford dealer did a diagnostic which said there was a problem with the throttle pedal sensor. The throttle pedal was replaced (at a cost of £200), the light went off then came on again three days later. The same fault was diagnosed and the throttle pedal was again replaced. Five days later the warning light came on again with the same problem. The Ford dealer checked everything and is stumped. Perhaps coincidentally, the clock (built into the car radio) has also started playing up, occasionally showing a random time when I start up. Otherwise the car is fine and starts without problems. What can I do next?
