Last year I manage to mangle one of my snow chains. Best not to ask. More hopeful than anything else I sent it back to RUD to see if it was repairable. I can only commend them on their service as I have a new set of chains delivered for this winter at no cost. I use RUD chains for three of our cars and being a mile and a half up a steep farm track in the Highlands of Scotland, we have found them essential when the snow falls. Last year I was able to get through fresh snow that was as high as the bonnet on the discovery which is no mean feat. I find them easy to get on and off and with the service that this company supplies, I would recommend this make to anyone. For those that wonder about snow socks, we have used these for three years and can recommend them. My son uses a set every winter and always confuses people as to how he can get by when all others get stuck. OK, they won't get you up deep snow drifted farm lanes but they will manage most minor unploughed roads.
