Remember, while the GPS updates may be useful, there are no set rules for the police/scamera partnerships to follow regarding placement of mobile speed traps, only guidelines. So speed traps can be hidden anywhere, even in horseboxes as was a recent story on here.
The constant live updates seem a good idea, but relies on other road angel users actually updating the service, so I wouldn't rely on the information it provides. Also, it cost the same per year as a single speeding fine just for the subscription, not financially sound in my mind.
Lastly, the range of most laser guns is around 999m, curiously, the Roadangel site doesn't have the detection range of its devices clearly listed in the specs, so again, I would be reluctant to trust my license to this.
A far more worthwhile purchase would be a Roadhawk camera or similar device, which films the road ahead, with g-force and GPS tracking, and automatic saving of collisions etc, which not only protects you from other nutter drivers or insurance scammers, but can get you big dicounts off your insurance.
