Peugeot 307 - Red light offence

Peugeot 307 - Red light offence - nico77

I have just received a notice of intention to prosecute for going through a red light. This was in Nottingham area. I'm not contesting it but I need my licence to hire a car while on holiday from August 8th - 24th. Once I send the the notice back saying I was the driver, does anyone know how long it is until they say what is going to happen. I will, presumably have to send my licence off to have the points added. Does anyone know how long this will take?

How long is a piece of string???????

I presume that it is a form under S172 RTA 88 to name driver after which a conditional offer will be issued if it was you - pay £60/3 points for which they will require your Licence. I would suggest that you try and contact the authority issung the ticket and explain your requirements. If fairly local they may accept a personal visit and Licence endorsed and returned forthwith.
