Peugeot 307 HDi (Rapier 90) - Anti Pollution Fault - Tango1978

OK I know there's a massive thread on this already but that seemed to go off on one so I thought I would ask a question of my own.

Recently (today) my car acted up with this anti pollution system fault, after a couple of minutes sat at the road side with the engine off it cured itself. But having read a few of the comments on here already it's only going to come back.

So I was wondering. 1, Can I fix this at home? 2, I noticed that there are 2 types of additive out there which one do I need to use? My car is 2001 (51) 2.0 HDi Rapier 90.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Additive depends on your build code which should be in the driver door shut or on the door. It should start 09 or 08 with your car. Supply me the first five numbers and I can tell you what you additive is. You need this vehicle to have a diag test to find the codes first and ask for the P numbers of the codes.

If its not showing low fluid then its probably just suffering from short runs.

Will I get a warning when the fluid gets low??? And most of my trips do tend to be short ones need an excuse for a long trip methinks

Well I've not had that so maybe you're onto something there, might throw some redex or similar into the tank next time I fill up and take a bit of a road trip!

Cheers
