Resurfacing the motorway - Bobbin Threadbare

Is this going to make much difference?

I don't go on the M56 very often but I'm sure that this section has a lot of that 'bobbly' surface (that makes you think there's something wrong with your tyres for a sec) for making you slow down (just come over the Thelwall...)

Whoopee!

I live in f***sham and the road noise is horrendous. Most motorways have tree lined embankments to try to deaden motorway noise. The M56 passes really close to f***sham and there is nothing but cheap hard wearing tarmac. The M53 is even worse; In England it is noisy concrete, but when you pass the border into Wales there's a lovely low noise tarmac surface so the sheep aren't unduly disturbed. Not a house to be seen for miles. Nice to see that they can find something to spend all the Barett formula money on!

I dislike the M53; the pokiest motorway ever!

Why maintain a 100 year old bridge when you can let it rot and close the A56 for months to build a replacement?

I wouldnt mind if once in a while they actually resurfaced a road instead of just pouring crap on it and getting us to smooth it down for them which in the end makes no difference at all.
