Renault Megane Coupe - remote central locking will not open the boot - jannerg

The boot on the car is not unlocking, either by remote or manually using the door locks. The doors unlock and lock as does the petrol filler flap. The light on the fob is illuminating. The only thing i have noticed since the problem occured, is that the noise of the locking and unlocking is sounding quite tired. maybe just me ! Need to get this sorted and dont want to be ripped off if the solution is simple and i can sort it.

Hi don't know if you've sorted this but I had exactly the same problem with my megane coupe. There's a little motor (kind of like a scalextric car motor) which winds the lock up and down. It's easy to replace as it's only held with a couple of torx screws. It's mounted behind the button for the boot. Hope this helps.
