Air-bag warning light keeps appearing, it has been on almost continuously since September which presumably means I have been driving without air-bags activated. Unsurprisingly I cannot get a direct answer from the dealer. They take the car for a day to diagnose then later on another day after new parts have arrived. This has occured 4 times and the light has always appeared with in 48 hours, they seem unable to deal with this problem. Fixed yesterday, warning light on this morning!

Is this a common problem on this car?

The same things happened to my BMW 1 series, today the SRS light came on for the 3rd time.

The first two times as its under warranty the bits (they will not tell me what) had to be ordered (3/4 working days) and fitted.

I told them the 2008 moderl has been recalled in the US, - incorrect crimp connectors - but they just say BMW UK cars are "different" - its annoying as its nye on impossible to get a car off them (the air bags will not deploy in my mind making it LESS safe)

Service cars are very expensive to run my BMW dealer tells me - amazing the mazda dealer down the road can give me a new mazda whilst I just have a minor service my 10 yr old MX5
