vauxhall corsa b - aerial - vin

Hi, noticed recently very poor radio reception, is the roof mounted aerial an amplified type. there is a thin black/white wire connected to aerial, wondered if it should have a live feed to it , as it doesnt. thanks.

Don't know your particular car but I believe the power is normally supplied to the amp via the coax, I assume you are talking about an extra wire. Check across the inner and outer of the coax for voltage if there isn't any presumably this wire is the feed.
