Hi all

My beloved little Polo has given up the ghost after 6 years of faithful service. Something has happened to the gear box and I cannot put it into gear or drive it. Coupled with the body damage to the rear ( when I reversed into a bollard the day I lost my job) i suspect there is little point in paying to solve the gear problem given the car is prob only worth approx £300. I would like to get rid of the car either selling as seen or to a scrap dealers.

So the advice I am asking for from fellow posters is whether anyone could recommend a scrap dealer in the Liverpool area? This is the first time I have done this, know nothing about scrap yards so would appreciate any advice possible.
