VW polo blue motion 1.2 TDI 2010 onwards - New Polo Blue Motion is it timing chain or belt - tobylarone

I have phoned various dealer ships and none of them have a clue, One salesman said chain- clearly trying to sell it, others said a belt- one said needs doing at 60k/4yrs other said 80k/ 4 years. I have looked under the bonnet and it clearly has a plastic cover around the timing area seems like a belt to me... Does anyone know for definite?
