Recently bought the above car and have discovered a problem with the front wipers. When you turn them on, you cannot turn them off again with out turning off the engine/ignition. if you leave them switched to the off position they will eventually come to a stop in 5 or maybe 10 minutes.

I thought at first it was the switch was the problem, but I changed that and it made no difference.

The rear wiper works fine and stops when it should, despite the fact it shares the same switch with the front ones.

Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem and how did they fix it?

I'm not sure if it's the motor, linkages or a relay problem.

As I understand it, the sensor is contained inside the motor.

Any help would be appreciated.
