Hallo, Can anyone advise on this problem with my wife's car.It runs fine but has the odd habit of the revs not wanting to drop... When STATIONARY it will idle (when warm) at a steady 800 rpm, but when coasting down to a halt it will not rev below 1500 rpm! As long as the car is in motion the revs stay up, even as slow as 3 mph. As soon as the car stops dead, down go the revs. Other symptoms of this high revving are that it always sounds like we are fluffing the gear changes as the revs linger the clutch is depressed. Even occasionally the revs will actually rise on depressing the clutch while in motion! Suspecting it was the I.C.V. / stepper motor i replaced this and afterwards have reset the E.C.U. today i have lubricated the throttle cable and removed the MAP sensor and cleaned it with carb cleaner spray. The problem remains... i've not got the budget to take it to a garage yet,but wonder if this is the only way faults may be cleared. i'd hoped the E.C.U. reset might have sorted it. So i'd really appreciate any tips Thanks Rob
