Citroen Picasso - diesel - Driver out of action - GrandmaT

Not sure if the make of car is relevant. My husband will be out of action due to illness for a non-specified length of time and I'm wondering what to do about his car. At the moment I'm taking it for a drive every couple of weeks (a round trip of about 15 miles on an A road) making sure that I do a few of those miles at a reasonably high speed - there is no rev counter.

Is this too much, not enough or what? Any advice appreciated.

sounds pretty sensible, more importantly keep the interior dry or the seat belts etc can go moldy with lack of use.
Moisture crystls may help when parked up.
15-20 mile run sounds good

The longer the run the better. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to start it just for a few minutes on a regular basis, it would be better doing nothing.

I had a gut feeling just starting it and running for a few minutes wouldn't do. Will try to do the odd longer run sometimes. Will look for moisture crystals. Thank you both x
