Hi,

The engine in my 2002 Golf 1.9tdi 130 has seized after a loss of oil from the sump and have been told by a garage [who I trust] it needs a new engine.

I have been looking about, and on the internet there are several options - such as:

1) Firms who will replace the engine with a refurbished unit and give a warranty.
2) Firms who will refurb the existing engine and give a warranty.
3) Firms who can provide me with an engine for me to get the garage to replace it for me.

I am unsure where to go - I really want a warranty for the install, and for the entire package to be done at one place.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am based in Hampshire, but are willing to go a distance to get it installed properly.
