Peugeot 206 - Formula 1 Autocentres

Peugeot 206 - Formula 1 Autocentres - adam f

I currently have a 2000 (X) Peugeot 206 1.4 GLX and it needs a new clutch and the Cambelt replaced in the next few Months. I have been ringing around for some some Prices and F1 Autocentres have come in the Cheapest. The have said it will be £220 for the clutch and £130 for the cambelt Change.

Peugeot want £580 for both

Local Mechanic Wants £400 for both - but he is away on Holiday for the next couple of weeks and i really want the clutch done ASAP.

Has anyone had any dealings with F1 Autocentres and if so good or bad. There price seems very attractive and they can do the work fairly quick but have a nagging feeling that they will try and do extras once the cars on the ramp etc..

I personally would look elsewhere. they have quite a bad reputation in my area.. I know several work collegues, and friends who have have used F1 and all without exception have received long lists of extras, often when taking the car in for something relitively minor. Try and get a recommendation for a good independant if you can.
