Ford Mondeo Petrol, 1.8 Zetec 1999 - Engine has no power - Dinger

My car has been stationarey for a couple of months. The problem is, when I push the accelerator down slowly the rev's buld up to 4500rpm ok but, if I push the accelerator fairly quickly the rev's go up to 3000rpm and then fall down to 1500rpm. it sounds like the engine is hunting. On the road it's worse, top speed is 60mph until I hit an up slope then the speed drops down to 25mph. Any ideas, cheers, Dinger

Its in limp home mode finding the fault is not going to be easy you say the vehicle was not used for 2 months but that should not really matter.I would replace the plugs,air filter ,clean the MAF has the engine got a turbo if so the actuator could be faulty as could the egr.

Change the fel filter - the stop may have allowe rubbish to sttle in the fuel tank and when started block the fuel filter.
