Motorists urged to spy on each other - brum

This article will appeal to all you self opiniated backroomers. Now you have your chance to do some real policing and report middle lane hoggers, fog light users, people not sticking to the (speed limit+10%+10mph) / getoutofmyway rule, inconsiderate parkers, people you dont like etc. etc.

I have already reported most of you already.

Obvious PR spin nonsense and yet another chance for the police to skin the motorist by oferirng you a chance to cough up £70 or 'face prosecution' in the hope that most will just cough up the readies.

If you refuse as you should and demand your day in court then you have the absoluelty right to face your accuser.

Either the system is completely anonymous and the police can't produce him or they produce him amd you ask what expertise he has in assessing your driving. Either way you win.

Plus let me be really honest here if you as a citizen give evidence against me in court and I get convicted then you better be living in a yurt in Outer Mongolia under an assumed name...

I'll deal with all the number plates with non-regulation letters and digits and / or spacing. LOL

To date, over 38 years of driving, I've reported one driver to the police for running a red light - dangerously, forcing traffic going through a green light to stop, and one lorry driver to his company for using a hand-held mobile phone while negotiating a busy roundabout.

What a load of old carp. But then it is in the daily wail. Niallster's right. letters mean nothing. Send a summons (not forgetting the 6 month time limit) and I'll defend myself adding a call for all 'witnesses'. First step will be proving that I was the driver....
