Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi - Buying a used Mondeo TDCi: what to look out for? - david jey

I need a diesel for £3-4k and I have my eye on a number of 2.0L Mondeo TDCis at the moment: all 2002-2005 and between 70 and 100k mileage.

What routine servicing should have been carried out at, say, 70k/5 years? Am I right in thinking this car is timing chain equipped, but that the tensioners need replacing at certain intervals? Anything else to look out for/check?

Hello David iam surprised no owners of thes cars have given you a answer.I dont know about the timing chain reading some revieuws on differnt forums one dutch site,the owners of these cars where pleased capable of high milages.Hope you find a good one:)
