Ford C-MAX - 09 C-Max - wheelsinwheels

I am thinking of looking for a 08 or 09 automatic c-max and was just wondering if there is anything in particular that I should be watching out for? as in faults,recalls ect.........

I'm in Ireland but I assume faults and recalls would be the same for the UK and Ireland.

That thread refers to the short-lived CVT gearbox on 1.6 TDCi. As I recall, current C-Max's have a 4 speed torque converter for a 2 litre petrol & the 6 speed powershift (dunno what format that is) for the 2 litre diesel. Both are decent drives and as far as I know there are no nasty surprises.

I spent months looking for the right 2.0 Ghia or Titanium C-Max auto at the right price without success.

Thanks for the replies, my hope is that because its been out for a long time that any glithches should be well ironed out at this stage.

Now to find one, the good autos seem very scarce.
