2.0 HDI 110 8V SOHC - Peugeot 307 SW Antipollution fault - scammell

Hi there,

My 307 has 136K on the clock and has just got and anti pollution warning for the first time. I got my local garage to read the fault codes and I got the following: P0487 exhaust gas recirculation fault and P0400 EGR valve.

I know this is a very tricky subject, please help me.What could be causing this?

Just to as the car drives as normal, has loads of power and the RPM is not limited. The additive soot burning process seems to work too as I could smell it when I blasted the car down the road tonight.

What could be causing it? Hmmmm....my guess would be to look at the EGR valve first. :)

It might just need taking out and cleaning.
