peugeot 307 2HDI - Anti Pollution System Fault light peugeot 307 2HDI - Gregrobjones

The car mileage done 87K miles & the warning lights comes on the dash saying Anti Pollution Fault - Then the car engine stops. You have to wait about a couple of minutes then the car starts again.

The peugeot garage says it could be a number of issues & they have to put it on the computer to find out the fault & this may not cure it... costing £150 per hour... what a rip off.

Can you help out please?

had the same problem 184 quid later peugout replaced a strainer filter which supposedly cost 60 quid!!!

Yet another reason not to buy a french car. People will learn eventually.....

The only way is to use the Peugeot program called "Planet" if the garage has not got this it makes life difficult.When this happened on my hdi it was a loose filler cap on the eoly system cost free at my local Peugeot dealer in Germany ,At 87k miles you could be looking at the eoly tank refilling and the cat being blocked if you do a lot of short runs.Do your cooling fans come on sometimes when you park up a good sign that the system is woking.
