Toyota Carina E - drivers door lock problem. - hwgminx

Help! Problem with the lock on my drivers door. I have to unlock the car doors using the passengers side lock. The drivers door works and opens perfectly well from the inside alas i just cant get the lock to rotate completly and freely from the outside. For some reason the locking mechanism on that door just wont work. Any help would be appreciated.

I would start with WD40 at this stage to try to free it if this is the problem.

The next step would be to concult the Haynes manual; I would assume you would need to remove the internal trim and check the internal mechanism.

I am assuming it opens correctly from the inside of the door?
