Vauxhall Vectra C 2.0 dti - Engine code 53 vectra c 2.0 dti - kdmg0

I need a replacement engine for my vec c 2.0 dti but don't know the engine code. Can anybody tell me where the code is so i can get the coorect replacement. Also i am unsure if the older vec b engine will be ok, is it the same engine.

hi you can find the engine number is found stamped on the engine block just under the oil filter houseing

do you still have the service pack, the security card will have full details or the service book or if you know who the suppling dealer was contact them, its either a dth or a dtl engine but best to get the code as yo are trying to do,Regards TB
