My 2005 Subaru Forester 2.0 N/A (EJ20) has covered just shy of 60K miles and is due a replacement can belt according to the service schedule. I am not a mechanic but would like some feedback on the following.
Firstly I note from other cam belt questions that it is often recommended that the pulleys and tensioner is also replaced as these seem to fail even when the belt has been replaced. Is this necessary, advisable or recommended for this engine?
Secondly any idea of cost at a Subaru Dealer for the replacement cam belt and a 60K service?
