BBC F1 coverage on Sun 4th April - Westpig

I've just posted this on a similar site, it's not been well advertised IMO

I don't know what on earth the BBC are up to, but it might be wise to check the listings if you're planning on recording it.... as I do.

I've just gone into the Sky Planner to book the programme after the GP in case there is an extended race...and...noticed that the coverage starts on BBC1 at 0800...but at 1000 changes to BBC2. When you check BBC2 slot it states it is the continuation of the coverage.

Usually the BBC coverage has at least an hour of blah before the race, so 0800-1000 isn't enough to cover the race on BBC1....so it seems the BBC are having half the race on BBC1 and the rest on BBC2????

That'll catch a few people out, what on earth are they playing at?

I had set the Virgin media box to record it and it was only going to cover 8 to 10am (even with `record series` set.

did anyone see qualifying? i missed it.

It seems live Eucharist from Westminster Cathedral will boot Formula 1 off BBC1 at 10am and it will resume on BBC2.

I wonder why they could`nt have put the Cathedral transmission onto BBC2?

Maybe there`s a tradition of it going out on the `Flagship` channel?

Yes, a bit rude that. Fancy giving the celebration of the ressurrection top billing over a few blokes driving round in circles. And on Easter Sunday as well. The BBC ought to hang their heads in shame. ;-)

Totally crazy, I had it on Sky+ and had to watch the second part on iPlayer. Why they couldn't put the religious stuff on BBC2 or even the whole race on BBC2 i've no idea.

It defeats my thinking why we should still have this carp on TV. That is the Easter Festival, by the way!

I've complained to the BBC about their scheduling...may I suggest a few more do, there's more likely to be something done if enough complain.

A google search on BBC Complaint gets you straight there.
