06 2.5 Warning light for engine management system - stivvy
Since getting the car about 18months ago we have had it checked by 3 different Volvo main dealers plus an independent diagnostician to try and establish what causes warning msg. "Engine management system requires service". 12 months ago we had manifold swirler arm actuator replaced and the software upgraded. All has been well until this week when accelerating hard on the motorway the blessed message came up yet again after only 8k miles. This happened also about 3 months ago but after ignoring it for a couple of weeks the msg. went off. We are reluctanct to keep coughing up with £150 each time and a bit concerned about the consequences of ignoring the warning. Otherwise car running like a dream. Anybody out there with any similar experience and possible cure?

06 2.5 Warning light for engine management system - injection doc
take it too an independant Volvo specialist or good indy with diagnostic because it could be any number of reasons as to why the light is on.
