It may be worth consulting an upholsterer, I have found small back street workshops are good and usually sell specialist upholstery items. Also horsey shops are good for leather care products and advice. Probably more knowledgeable than the pimply yoof in the car accessory shop.

If the leather isn't damaged you don't need dye - just clean it and feed it regularly.

I have used the leather dye from Woolies of Market Deeping on the Jowett.
I had two excellent bench seats in burgundy and a set of door cards and other pieces of trim in brown that were in much better condition than my red bits.
The seats were cleaned well with spirit and painted by brush with the brown dye. A week or so later I gave them a second coat and then saddle soaped them after another week. Woolies also supplied a matching cellulose based dye to do the seat backs, which are rexine.
I tickled up the trim items with the rexine dye to freshen them up.

It all worked rather well.

Following on from this, the front leather seats in my Bora have gone a bit shiney compared to the semi matt finish that the rear seats still have.

Is there a product that can return them to this semi matt finish ?
