02 1.2 Split front Exhaust Section + catalytic Con - sudy
Fiat Punto 52 plate 1.2L Active Sport

Hi there, I have a punto with a split front exhaust section that contains the catalytic converter.

Can I get away with welding a plate over this or do I need a replacement front section? I have heard that new replacements cost about £300, however, would a second hand one do?

Many Thanks in advance

Stuart

your local independant sensible garage can source you a new end from his exhaust supplier and weld it on for you and fit it for about £65
my picture is of a punto strangely , i was going to weigh it in but they are only worth £25 at the moment so it will stay on the shelf till i need it
#(its all mine i tell you.................. all mine---------)

Appreciate the help! that front section contains the catalytic converter, is that the same on your picture or is your pre-cat?

£65 isn't too bad, might call up a couple of local garages that are non - kwik fit or autorepairs to see if I can get it down somewhat!

the cat is just out of the picture
it sits in the downbit in front of your engine
mines a late 03 with the two lambda probes thats probably what you saw
