06 1.9 Where is EGR Valve ? - kevinb
Got a 1.9dci 130 bhp, seems egr valve is gummed up as idle rough, was fine when I switched engine off before weeks holiday and started rough idle first time I fired it up on return, mileage 97k. Is the egr valve on this model the black assembly 6 bolts holding it on with with a plug/skt on the manifold assy on the right (looking from underneath the bonnet) ? Any answers gratefully received.

Have found out that on my model the EGR valve is a non- solenoid type its an assembly that basically takes a proportion of the exhaust gases back to the manifold, its a passive device with what looks like a water cooling jacket around it.

Hi kevinb i have the same model as you, you say it is a non-solenoid type does this mean you can't remove it and clean? What did you end up doing mine has a rough idle too?
