00 1.9 water inside the boot of the car - giuruc
I recently discovered that after it had rained a lot, the carpet in the boot of the car was soaking wet. The water seems to be coming from the left side of the boot. Does anyone have any ideas where the water might be leaking from?

A possible source is from behind the rear light clusters, where they bolt onto the body.hth

I would agree with the reply above. Mine just did this after i changed the lights to an aftermarket light lens. I hadn't tightened them properly and they were leaking in everyday until the water seeped through to the back seats and my passenger complained of a wet behind! If you still have your original lights on the car then the sponge seal has probably perished or the nuts come loose. They are easy to remove, just three nuts to unscrew either side.

Has it got a sunroof?

I took your advice and checked the rear light and that seams to have caused the leak.
I sealed it properly and tightened all the screws and i think it's ok now!!! Thanks for your help!!!
