95 1.8 car wont start, just died whilst driving, - w153y
hi, i have a problem with my clio, whilst i was driving last night it just cut out, and now wont start, we tried jump leads and bump start but to no avail, all my electrics work i.e lights, radio ect. i have noticed that the immobiliser light on the dash now does not appear at all!! where as before it would flash or stay on briefly.

i have the key fob, central locking ect system.

any ideas or help??

p.s the car had attempt break in last week through the driver door, taking the sill from the window. could this be a cause? especially with it not being covered yet, and weve had lots of rain.

car does 70-80 miles per day so gets a good run, and i think theres a slight alternator problem, as it has started a grating sound when standing.

well it turns out it was a fuse! i was tinkering this morning and found another fuse box next to the screenwash bottle, and one of the 30A fuses had blown.

ha ha, simple. :P
