I recently noticed on a visit to Trade sales car supermarket in Slough:
They currently have a handfull of Un-registered Left hooker Disco's for sale for around £20k depending on spec, they're I believe were to be exported to the French market due to the tags inside & labels in the said language.
Which market will be interested in buying a left hander Landie in the UK? Apart from those who intend to emmigrate to Europe etc..?

I noticed those for sale too and thought it odd - apparently used cars are so expensive in France and Spain that ex-pats often come back here and buy RHD cars. I therefore would have thought there would be good demand for LHD cars at such hefty discounts.

Correct.
Mind you, if I bought a Disco 3 to take abroad I'd want to make darn sure I had an international guarantee with it.
Or I could just buy my pal's two-year-old one. Only 17k and a nice shiny new clutch and complete rear brakes.

With the exchange rate at ?1.10 to the pound, that works out at ?22.000, a lot cheaper than the going price here - if it is a Disco 4, the starting list price is ?42,000.

Before anyone rushes off to deepest Slough, the Trade Sales website says from £30,000 not £20,000 which is LHD Freelander territory elsewhere in the discount world.
