Still confused - looking for a value all rounder - astonbull
Hello all. I am still trying to find the ultimate value all rounder, Work horse-sunday morning blaster-commuter-motorway cruiser-Gt; You get the idea, The choices so far are;
Nissan Primera GT
BMW 325tdi (Not sure on this one)
Peugeot 306 D turbo
Ford Puma 1.7 (may be a bit small)
Maybe just maybe a Seat (leon or Toledo td)

All these cars can be purchased in decent condition for under£1500, All are meant to be a great drive (Don't know much about the BM or Seat)
Any thoughts or ideas would be welcome as there is just so much choice, Right now the Primera seems like the best move but tomorrow it'll be something else...Help. Thanks

You won't get a good Puma for less than £1500. Been there with my mate, at that price range they are rotten sheds. My other mate has got one for £2500 but its prestine 34k, full Ford history, no rust etc. I would imagine you could get a better Premera for the same money. I am a big fan of Puma's but they have to treated as a modern classic if you're going to buy one, otherwise its just an over priced Fiesta (e.g all the problems a same age Fiesta will have but for twice the cash).

It must be a 1.7 Puma-the 1.4/1.6 are not in the same league.

£1500 - if that's your budget - will just about get you a Volvo S80 T6. There's one on Autotrader right now!

Concur with the Volvo suggestion, good older ones are great workhorses.
