98 1.6 Immobilizer Problem - gcor
Hi, Hope someone can help? My clio has decided not to respond to the remote. I have changed the battery in the remote and tried the second key. Nothing, no response whatsoever. Its as if its switched frequency. I can get in the car with key, but cant start due to immobiliser. Any suggestions? Thanks Gary

listen carefully
if your blippers are lighting up you have a chance

disconnect the car battery and walk away from the car
stay away for 1/2 hour
come back to the car and reconnect the battery
with ONE blipper only (the other one is back in the house see) unlock the car and start it

you must follow this carefully or its an expensive tow in to the dealer

in future if it works do NOT keep both keys together

Hi I changed the battery in my key fob it worked perfectly for a week then suddenly the car decided not to start! I disconnected the battery and with some patience the car started usually on the third attempt but now the car just starts when it feels like it. Any ideas????? Help please
