Fog on the Tyne - doctorchris
The North East has been shrouded in fog and mist today.
Unsurprisingly, many cars have been running with no lights or side lights only.
The weird thing is that fewer cars than usual had their fog lights switched on.

I arrived at the Tyne ferry port from Amsterdam this morning, the Ferry was handled better in thick fog than many of the road vehicles on the subsequent foggy drive to Edinburgh. Lots of vehicles of all types without lights on the road.

I have seen a lot of fog this week in the south west and midlands too but so many cars ( and the odd lorry) without any lights on.

When you consider so many cars are gerey or silver it's no surprise that we, as lorry drivers fail to see them approaching in our mirrors 56 feet behind us right at the back of our trailers.

I've also come across a huge amount od HJ's mimsers this week too!

Cars doing 40 MPH on dual carriageways and motorways isn't cool or careful, it's downright dangerous! ( unless it's foggy!)

Its school half term in my part of the world, the people who cause chaos on the school run spread their chaos far and wide during the holidays.
