1999 Petrol 1.8LS Misfire - Mortman
My car is misfiring (like its running on 3 cylinders) when accelerating and seems to get worst when the car warms up. It only does it up to around 2000 revs and then above that seems ok.

I have had the fuel filter replaced, Spark plugs replaced and Cam shaft sensor replaced but still doing the same and seems to be getting worst.

It has been hooked to the diagnostics computer but this is not coming up with any faults??

Anyone have any ideas???

Thanks.

Have you tried HT leads? Then maybe the coil / DIS whatever Vauxhalls' have?

Sounds like lack of spark misfire to me.

I had very similar symptoms on a 2 litre Omega and it was the HT leads.

Hi

I thought if it was the coil pack it would show up on the computer?? Could it be faulty p but not picked up on download??

Just do a search - Its such a common fault. And no -coil packs don't always show up on a Tech. 2 reader. Air flow meter is my guess though!

I had exactly the same symptoms on my Vectra. A new set of HT leads from the local factors cured the problem for a reasonable outlay.
