What colour is the smoke? black, blue, white?

If black check air filter is clean at that mileage it may be original and be very dirty seems 40k miles ok for filters these days.

First thing to do is to remove the turbo output pipe at it's lowest point and see if there is oil in there. If this just a a very light smear then it is not the Turbo. Start the car one moring and just before the smoke clear turn it of and remove the plugs to compare colour and contamination. Regards Peter

This is a low mileage car and short runs may have caused a blockage in the engine venting system. Try starting the car with the filler cap removed. Regards Peter
