I'm looking for a larger car, something which can cope with a growing family and which will be reliable for the next few years, and one model I've considered is a Vauxhall Zafira B. However, I have read the owner reviews for this car on the What Car? website, and they have dissuaded me from buying one (I have around £7k to spend). Am I just being overly cautious here, or should I take note? Is it a coincidence that you can get a 2007 Zafira from a main dealer with average mileage for under £7k, when a similar aged Verso is at least a third more expensive? Is it all down to badge snobbery?

Just bought a 3 month old Zafira....
Nice car to drive. Does everything well... But
Annoying rattle in dash when warm between 2-3000 RPM.
Petrol gauge doesnot seem reliable... Shows 3/4 but is actually full.
Tailgate takes some shutting...
However deal was excellant, suits out needs very well, and hopefully can get the above fixed soon.
I did look at the Kia carens (imports for £7700) new. Really were nice to drive..however a little two much plastic. This would have been my choice, but wife won as the parking brake and auto were strange to her.....
