I wuold re-check the fuses. On these Vectras the fuse map may not correspond with the location of the fuses installed.

ok ive just been out and looked at all the fuses and yep it was a fuse but not the one where it should be. BUT it was only a 10amp i thought it was meant to be at least a 25amp fuse as its for the fag lighter.....

Should be 20amp (yellow).Locations should be coloured to ease fitment of correct fuses.

10 amp is correct if yours is a facelift Vectra-B. 20 amp if prefacelift.

The fuse can be in one of two places depending whether your Vectra-B is pre-facelift or facelift.

pre-facelift Vectra's were on No.36, but facelift were No.37. Trouble is, some later Vectras were still sold with earlier handbooks.

www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/showthread.php?p=1...5 has a list of all the fuses.

its a pre facelift but the fuse is no 37. and its a 10amp fuse with the red marking round the fuse location slot.

Red markings indicate a 10 amp fuse. You car must have been made at the point where the fuses were revised.

A ciggy lighter is usually rated at 10 amps max. The reason for a 20 amp fuse in earlier Vectra's was that the circuit also covered other electrics as well as the ciggy lighter.
