1990 - heater matrix - Co Down
Hi folks, need some help. I have a 1990 MX5. The heater isn't quite as good as it was. Is it likely to be the matrix, if so, how difficult to fit and is it worth taking a chance on one from a breakers or better to buy new? ps company called MX5 Parts wants £200 for one which seems steep.
pps this car is the most reliable i have ever owned. I've had six mercedes and in the past few years the quality is just dreadful. The cars included an M-Class and an S-Class. Everything that could go wrong, did.

I've found mx5 parts prices to be fairly reasonable and even genuine Mazda parts they carry are cheaper than from my local dealer. Their speed of deliver is outstanding.

I suspect the heater matrix would be a pig of a job as the whole car looks build round it.

Hmmm.... just a mo.....

The US miata forum is full of info and here's some for not enough heat.

Looks like the air control flaps are a common problem rather than the matrix itself.
